Because bad websites suck.

Doug McIntyre

Writer

A custom Squarespace website we designed for a Los Angeles radio legend and accomplished TV writer. Doug needed a custom site where he could post new articles, archive old articles he wrote for the Daily News, and connect his broad fanbase.

A Personal Touch

A Personal Touch

The design of Doug's site is meant to feel like you are reading the morning paper, since he is a writer for many outlets, including the LA Daily News. The header/footer color was pulled directly from a photo of his bright blue eyes, to give it that personal touch our sites are known for.

A Simplified Approach

A Simplified Approach

Doug's resumé is quite complex, with an extensive history with the "who's who" in the TV/film industry, but after meeting with him personally many times, we found a way to simplify his many facets into categorical archives.

Custom Icons

Custom Icons

One feature some of our clients choose to add on is custom-designed icons to represent information in a styled, simplified way. To maintain his brand identity, we added the soft blue (pulled directly from his actual eye color) as an accent to each icon.

Copious Copy

Copious Copy

As a celebrated writer in Los Angeles, Doug has A LOT of copy & published articles that he wanted archived in his site. We structured the site in a streamlined way that can filter his content by categories, tags, dates, or source.

Simple Search

Simple Search

With tons of articles and posts being added daily to Doug's site, we thought it was important to add a search box to the footer where users can pinpoint an article or topic they are interested in.

(Doug didn't like the boring old "Search" description, so he reinvented it by titling it "Search for the real killer")
